Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) presents the pinnacle of performance and a truly grand getaway for touring riders in 2008 with the FLHTCUSE3 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Powered by the Twin Cam 110 engine with 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission, the Screamin’ Eagle Ultra adds increased fuel range and a new Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to its impressive array of standard features. Styling updates include a Granite finished powertrain and three new paint schemes, including the 105th Anniversary Crystal Copper and Black Onyx.

The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra features the largest-displacement production engine offered by Harley-Davidson, the 110-cid (1800cc) Twin Cam 110. A high-performance V-Twin engine that delivers 115 ft. lbs. of torque at 3000 rpm, it also has Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission provides lower cruising rpm in top gear. The powertrain is finished in a new Granite coating with chrome covers available only on CVO models.

Long distance riders will no doubt enjoy the extra fuel range provided by the six-gallon fuel tank, which is now standard on all 2008 Harley-Davidson touring models. The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra features standard ABS, which is an available option on all 2008 Harley-Davidson Touring and VRSC models. ABS is designed to help you maintain control during emergency stopping situations, especially those that happen in less than ideal conditions. The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra also features Brembo front and rear brakes for maximum performance, feel and look. The new Isolated Drive System can enhance riding when accelerating, cruising and shifting.

Other new features on the 2008 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra include an Ultra King Tour Pak with premium luggage rack, color-matched wrap around lights and carry-out liner. Dual control leather heated seat with passenger backrest and complementary rider adjustable backrest add to the comfort. Floating front brake rotors, front brake calipers with CVO inserts and an extended reach billet brake lever are covered in chrome. Chrome four-inch Touring Cross-Over mufflers provide solid sound and feel. The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra also features a power locking system with a new remote/barrel key fob, spun aluminum metal gauge face, color matched derby covers and CVO logo ignition switch decal.

The Harley-Davidson CVO program creates limited-production, exclusive motorcycles produced by teams of technicians in a special assembly area at the Harley-Davidson plants in York, Pa., and Kansas City. Approximately 4,150 examples of the 2008 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra will be assembled at the York Vehicle Operations facility. The suggested U.S. retail price for the 2008 Screamin’ Eagle Ultra is $34,995 ($35,095 in California). The 105th Anniversary package adds $495.

The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra is based on the Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI Ultra Classic Electra Glide, and offers other premium amenities from that model such as a 40-watt CD/AM/FM/WB/MP3 Advanced Audio System by Harman-Kardon, CB and intercom, and passenger audio with controls, cruise control, plus standard XM Radio and integrated navigation system. The handlebar is internally wired with new Electronic Throttle Control for sleek looks and a new stabilizer system reduces engine vibration. Adjustable air deflectors on the fairing also improve rider and passenger comfort.

In addition to the chrome and rubber Ironside collection with hand grips, rider and adjustable passenger footboards, highway pegs, shift pegs and brake pedal pad, the Screamin’ Eagle Ultra features include power saddlebag locks, multi-function switches and an oil cooler with chrome cover. The Screamin’ Eagle rides on the Touring-exclusive air-adjustable rear suspension and Chrome Nine-Spoke Cast Aluminum wheels. Instruments with spun-aluminum metal faces are mounted below a custom black-leather inner fairing pad with chrome trim.

The Screamin’ Eagle Ultra will be offered in three exclusive color combinations: 105th Anniversary Crystal Copper and Black Onyx, Copper Canyon and Stardust Silver, and White Frost and Silver Mist. The 105th Anniversary serialized limited-edition model also features exclusive medallions, badges and wrap-around Tour Pak. The vented lower fairings and inner fairing and switch panel are color-matched to the selected paint scheme. A Harley-Davidson Smart Security System with Smart Siren, an indoor storage cover with CVO logo, and a commemorative CVO key in a presentation box are also included.
